Greg graduated from the University of Virginia (BA Religious Studies and American Politics) and earned his law degree from the University of Richmond in 2007. He began his career in the Richmond Public Defender’s office, where he represented hundreds of clients on misdemeanor, felony, and juvenile charges. The breadth of trial experience, client counsel, and commitment to justice in the most challenging of circumstances shape his approach to this day.
Following his tenure as a public defender, Greg joined the firm of Boone Beale as an associate attorney. Private practice allowed him to expand his geographic reach, enhance his knowledge of civil matters attendant to criminal cases, and develop a specialty in larger-scale trafficking investigations.
Feeling a call to return to public service, he joined the Hopewell Commonwealth Attorney’s office in 2016. He prosecuted in Hopewell, Chesterfield, and New Kent Counties, concluding his service as the Deputy Commonwealth Attorney for King William County. In his role as a prosecutor, he again handled matters ranging from traffic offenses to murder and other violent felonies, with an emphasis on domestic violence. He is intimately familiar with the nuances of trial strategy, sentencing outcomes, and the complex human dynamics that criminal cases present.
Having learned how prosecutors work and having deepened his relationships across the Commonwealth, Greg returned to his first passion: helping those who need it, one client at a time.
When not fighting the good fight, Greg enjoys spending time with his family and in the outdoors.
